Our Mission and Vision
Mission
Treasure Coast Presbyterian Church, by the grace of God and for His glory, exists to ignite a deep love and affection for Jesus Christ and the Gospel of His Grace.
Vision
We are who we are, as a church, to show the world who God is. Our hope and prayer is that with every worship service, community event and outreach effort we are making new disciples and strengthening old ones (Acts 14:20-22). As a church community, we have been called out of spiritual darkness and into his marvelous light for the purpose of proclaiming the excellencies of God (1 Peter 2:9). We proclaim the excellencies of God, as a church, by serving Him in three areas:
- Looking Up in worship: We show the world who God is by serving God in worship. God’s holiness and glory draws us to join the angels in worship. Not only does his holiness and glory draw us to worship, it also gives us a healthy perspective of who we are: a sinful, broken people marked by the free gift of God’s grace through the substitutionary life, death and resurrection Jesus Christ (Isaiah 6:1-8).
- Looking In for nurture: We show the world who God is by serving one another in nurture. The church exists to build itself up in love and strengthen every follower of Christ. We build the church up in love by reorienting ourselves to the gospel of Jesus Christ everyday (Eph. 4:7-16).
- Looking Out on mission: We show the world who God is by serving the world in mission. Our mission, like that of Christ, is two fold: physical restoration of a broken world and spiritual renewal of broken people (Luke 4:16-20).
