TCPCYouth is the 6th-12th grade (ages 11-18) student ministry of Treasure Coast Presbyterian Church. Our vision is "Making Disciples who Make Disciples in Community."
Making Disciples...
Our goal at TCPC is to have our youth embrace Jesus in such a way that they take to heart Jesus’ command in Luke 9:23 - “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.” The reason for this is because whoever does not do so cannot be a disciple of Christ (Luke 14:27). Our aim then is not only to have them trust their lives to Jesus for the first time, but also to have them live out that trust through meditation on God’s Word, prayer, and acts of love for others.
...who Make Disciples
As followers of Christ, our task is to “Go and make disciples of all nations,” and we do this by baptizing them in the name of the triune God and teaching them to observe all that Jesus has commanded (Matt. 28:19-20). The very nature of a disciple of Christ is to make more and more disciples of Christ. While this will be implicit in everything we cover, we will often address evangelism and outreach explicitly.
...in Community
Many of our events and teachings focus on learning and growing as a community, so the whole church is involved in a good number of our large group events and teaching opportunities. In this way, we learn to rejoice, weep, discern, etc., all as a fellowship of believers.
Ministry Moments
Where does all this happen? Below is a sampling of the some of the ways TCPC Youth are both ministered to and can minister others.
Sunday School: A study of God's word in the church lobby on Sunday morning 10:00am
Discipleship Gathering: Wednesday night bible study and fellowship time in the church lobby from 6:30-8:30pm
Large Group Events: TCPC Youth will gather together at various locations throughout each semester to build fellowship and serve our community. Check out our Calendar of Events for more details.
Small Group Discipleship: Occassionally, the ministry director and others will meet with the youth in smaller numbers to build deeper relationships, discuss difficult age-appropriate topics, and serve our community.
